Articulate game (Tabou): 16 French food cards

Articulate game (Tabou): 16 French food cards

I designed these 16 cards (to cut out and possibly laminate) after one of my pupils told me about the game 'Articulate' (Tabou en francais): players take it in turns to make the other players guess a French word without using 2 'banned' keywords. It is a fun activity that gives pupils the opportunity to revise basic vocabulary by explaining what they mean, therefore using conversational skills, grammar as well vocab. I will soon upload more cards linked to other topics (family, school, animals, etc.)

French menu with quiz

French menu with quiz

This resource has a French menu with prices, comprehension questions on it and the answers. I have also included notes on the menu in case you are not sure of the foods described. This is good for end of year 7 or year 8 students after they have done some work on food as it enlarges their vocabulary. I have used it as a basis for role-play and students have created their own versions adding dishes that they have researched. Can be used for cover with additional tasks such as design your restaurant logo and menu, create a quiz based on your menu to share with others, if students do this make sure they write the answers up for ease of correction.
