I am glad to share this wonderful game with you. It is great fun for learners to actually use their language skills to describe a word and the others guessing it. ❤️ About me ❤️ Hi there 👋🏼! I´m Cindy from Leipzig, Germany. I have been a German and English teacher for more than 12 years now. And I love coffee breaks ☕️. Coffee is just great. Over the years I have realized how much my students benefit most from lessons where THEY are the leaders, where THEY are encouraged to be proactive and learn from each other. Handing over the reins to my students doesn’t make me weaker as a teacher. It makes them responsible for their own learning and is highly motivating. I don’t want my students to be sailors. I want them to be CAPTAINS! (And I want coffee!) My teaching resources are all designed to enable students to USE the language. This is why you will always find the communicative approach in my resources - even simple crosswords come with ideas for speaking activities. All of my resources have been tested in class and will be updated regularly. Please rate my resources to help me build a reputation among millions of resources. Thanks for working with me ☺️ Cindy Please see my other resources, too: [https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/CindyKuehne]

Two lessons based on pages 14/15 of echo 1. Aim of the two lessons is to describe what you have in your school bag. Introduction to the indefinite article in the nominative and accusative case (Ich habe einen...). A lot of fun activities, such as the one where Harry Potter describes what pieces of equipment he has bought in Diagon Alley (Winkelgasse) for Hogwarts! Very exciting. German Activity Cards

German Activity Cards

Developed by experienced language teachers, these unique reading practice cards are designed for individual, “self-service” use. They can be placed in a Resources Centre, used in class (e.g. for carousel activities) or borrowed for homework. The cards are intended to be printed and laminated to be used again and again. Students help themselves to cards, answer the questions in their exercise book, then mark their work (or their peers’) and write their scores on the record sheet. There is no preparation, marking or duplication for teachers, allowing time to be spent where most needed.

German GCSE Survival Kit - Pupil Resource

German GCSE Survival Kit - Pupil Resource

This is a guide for any pupil taking GCSE German. I wanted a small 'survival kit' guide that could slot into a pupil's folder or book that they can reference whenever they are attempting a writing task. This is specifically designed for the new GCSE and I wanted to set the bar at a grade 5. Basically, if a pupil follows the guide accurately, they could achieve a 5/6 in the new GCSE. I have printed it as A5. On one side there are easily useable phrases in the present, pas and future, time phrases, connectives, opinions and comparisons. On the reverse is an example Foundation 16 mark question with an exemplar answer. With this is a "foundation checklist" which pupils can also do whenever they are completing a writing. Show your pupils how you can use both sides to ensure a 5 at GCSE. Enjoy!
