Das Wetter (The Weather) German Speaking and Listening - board game and presentation

Das Wetter (The Weather) German Speaking and Listening - board game and presentation

This is a speaking and listening game on the topic of ‘Das Wetter’. Students can play in groups of 2 to 4 players. Simply print Slide 4 (the board) for each group. Dice are also needed, although a template is included on slide 5. Full instructions are provided, including ideas of how the game can be extended or supported. Pupils take it in turns to move around the board, asking and answering questions about the weather. A fun way of practising speaking and listening skills as well as weather vocabulary. There are also help sheets provided for students to refer to, and slides which introduce the weather phrases - these, along with the game, would be enough for a full lesson on weather.

GERMAN CONVERSATION CARDS

GERMAN CONVERSATION CARDS

THE IDEAL SET OF RESOURCES TO GIVE YOUR STUDENTS LOTS OF OPPORTUNITIES TO DEVELOP CONFIDENCE IN SPEAKING - QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS WITH A FOCUS ON BEGINNING AND GENERAL CONVERSATION, CULTURAL INFORMATION AND SEPARABLE VERBS IN BOTH THE PRESENT AND PERFECT TENSE - 400 QUESTION & ANSWER CARDS WITH REFERENCE RESOURCE BOOKLETS Perfect for speaking practice, and multi-skill language learning, this combined pack of TALK TIME IN GERMAN, SETS 1,2 3 and 4, provides 400 question and answer prompt cards that give your students structured talk opportunities, and will also get them listening, reading and writing. They’re ideal for independent learning, and perfect for pair and small-group work. Set 1 focuses on beginning conversation, and Set 2 takes this further, with a flavor of cultural information. Sets 3 & 4 focus on 25 high-frequency separable verbs, in both the present and the perfect tense. Students often find these quite tricky, but will certainly be able to get to grips with the structure of questions and sentences with regular practice. The prompt cards also feature language and structures that your students are likely to meet in the beginning and more intermediate stages of their GERMAN learning, including modal verbs, word order, case and prepositions governed by the accusative and dative. The REFERENCE BOOKLETS include all the questions and answers written out in full in GERMAN. Students find these very useful learning support resources and they’re also handy whole-group pronunciation practice and reading-out loud resources. Encourage students to use the NOTES AND NEXT STEPS template to reflect on their learning, and think about what they might reasonably do to progress in their learning. There is also an alphabetical verb reference list in the Sets 3 & 4 workbooks. The QUESTION AND ANSWER WRITING TEMPLATES give students the opportunity to apply their GERMAN very practically, as they create both questions and answers for each other. This is a great team activity too. You can also use the cards for a whole range of games, and I’ve described how to play several you can start with. The resource consists of eight non-editable files in a zipped format The sets are also available individually if you prefer, each priced at $4.00. Please read the Terms of Use carefully: this resource is copyright, and for single-teacher/purchaser use only. VIELEN DANK UND VIEL SPAß BEIM PLAUDERN!
