Trading Game

Trading Game

IF YOU DOWNLOAD THIS PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT / REVIEW. I SHARE MY RESOURCES ITS ALL I ASK A Presentation and the rules to one of the most enjoyable classes I have come across, students will have to make shapes to exchange these shapes for money, mirroring production of goods from raw materials in the real world. Each team represents a country,it will enable students to learn about the WTO and the IMF through kinerthetic learning styles. I would reccomend buying some fake money to do this game, monopoly set should suffice.

Student Task Self Assessment Worksheet

Student Task Self Assessment Worksheet

Have developed this Assessment Worksheet for use within my Business Studies classes so that the students can self assess themselves when they've done a piece of class work that needs to be given in. I will add bits in for each different topic so it does have specific info in. I would be very interested to know what peoples thoughts are on it as I'm a student teacher at the mo and how you think it could be improved. Thanks

The Euro Crisis, Global Economies, Poverty+Wealth

The Euro Crisis, Global Economies, Poverty+Wealth

The first article here is from Al Jazeera. It includes a reference to a video interview which you may use part of to shed light on this important issue. I am looking for any articles and videos which will help our students to understand what is happening and how it relates to them, to religious principles of fairness, justice, care for all, compassion and charity etc. I am looking for resources which will inform GCSE or older students and they will be useful for Citizenship and Economics subjects as much as for RE.

Spending review October 2010

Spending review October 2010

Here is a collection of internet links and video resources that pull together issues from the govt spending review. I used this today (21/10/10) to start a whole class discussion on what the impact of the spending review might mean. Students were given 20 mins to collect 'informed' decisions before we discussed the pros v cons of private v public sector management of the economy.
