GERMAN ANIMALS BINGO

GAMES WITH GOALS! GERMAN animals bingo games are ideal for developing listening, speaking, reading and writing/spelling skills. They’re also really useful for a focus on definite article and gender. The pack includes 21 non-editable files: ONE & TWO: 40 picture-only bingo 12-square grids, 4 per page (10 pages). You can give students a random selection of pages, with students selecting the order of grids they play from. You can also cut out the grids, and place them in a small bowl or similar object on tables. Students select grids randomly from the bowl. Depending on the size of your class, you should have several winners per game! You might prefer to laminate the grids, especially if you are printing in color - students can use wipe-clean pens, and you can recycle the grids many times. Color and B&W. THREE: 40 GERMAN word-only bingo 12-square grids, 4 per page (10 pages). FOUR: 40 English word-only bingo 12-square grids, 4 per page (10 pages). FIVE: 4 12-square grid template for students to create their own word or picture grids for each other. SIX: 1 GERMAN and 1 English calling card, with all the words written in full. SEVEN TO TWENTY-ONE: 15 SILENT BINGO games PLAY SILENT BINGO! Select a grid type for students - picture-only, German word or English word. Using the SILENT BINGO files, show each slide at varying speeds. Students cross off the corresponding word or picture. These are really versatile, with a range of challenges, and depending on which skills you want to focus on - for example, show the pictures only using German words grids for vocab recall & reading practice; show the English words using German words grids for mini-translation practice as well as vocab recall/reading; show the German words using English word grids for reading & vocab recall - students have to be completely silent - it’s a really popular way of playing bingo! There are 5 different games of each type: picture-only, German words, English words. All the games are designed for players to cross off all the words or pictures on their grids in order to win the game. (alternatively, for low-level students, the teacher can provide students with a vocabulary list and the students label the photo). 2) Change pairs to AB. 3) Student A describes photo while student B listens attentively. 4) Student B describes photo while student A listens attentively. 5) Still without looking at each other’s photos, students attempt to identify 3 differences between their photos. Students may now look at each other’s photos and describe 2-3 differences each. Encourage use of CONNECTORS: Erstens, Zweitens, Zusammengefasst Aber, Andererseits, Während Darüber hinaus, Des weiteren, Außerdem Instructions for PART 2 1) Students ask each other the discussion questions.
