MFL Intervention / Action Plan for students

MFL Intervention / Action Plan for students

Tracking students and classes can be a laborious task. Also showing management the steps you have taken to help students who are below their expected targets can be difficult as often times we can forget the phone class we have made, they targeted questions we have asked in lessons etc.In our department we use these two forms:RED Action Plan - For those students who are below their target or expected grades but could improve and meet their targets with targeted intervention or support.AMBER Action Plan - For those students who are at their target grade but who could do better with targeted intervention or support. You simply fill in all necessary information on the template tables supplied and this offers excellent example of all the strategies you use to help your students and track each individuals progress. This are also excellent to show OFSTED inspectors. (We have recently had a full inspection)Enjoy, Claddagh Classrooms:)

BTEC Assessment Grade Tracker Spreadsheet

BTEC Assessment Grade Tracker Spreadsheet

I devised this tracker a long time ago to track the grades and progress of our BTEC training programme and the several units that encompass the overall grade. It was so successful that it is now used across two different regions in two different colleges.I use this on a regular basis with my students as part of my own data analysis and give students specific tasks based on what is missing when resubmitting or chasing outstanding work. Due to the size and nature of the document, each unit is represented by both a specific colour and a hyperlink which goes to the first cell of the table where the grades will be present. The cells contain conditional formatting when specific text is entered in both the outcome cells and the result cells. Outcomes - Y (green) N & N/S (red)Result - P/M/D (green) F (red) It can also be uploaded to your One Drive folder where it automatically becomes an online spreadsheet. This presents massive advantages as it can be shared as both an editable document to staff and a view-only document via your VLE to students. You can add or take away tables, depending on the size of your BTEC delivery & assessment programme. You can also copy the same spreadsheet and add to another tab to represent a different year group or class. This spreadsheet has seen several different versions and is quite sophisticated in terms of what it can do. I think that this offers great value for money as at least, creating something like this from scratch would take several hours.

New GCSE (9-1) Automated Progress Tracking and Analysis Spreadsheet

New GCSE (9-1) Automated Progress Tracking and Analysis Spreadsheet

If, like I was, you are fed up with analysing data manually, this spreadsheet is for you.Originally created for my science department and then rolled out whole-school, this GCSE progress tracking spreadsheet will save you hours of analysing, putting relevant data right at your fingertips within seconds of assessments being graded. Use is easy - once the initial population of student data (lifted straight from an export from your school's data system) is done, the only data that needs to be entered is the grades for each assessment/homework/piece of work. You can use grades 1-9, but plus and minus subgrades are catered for too. Colour coded cells automatically show progress (above or below target grade) and the sheet does all the analysis for you, producing a data table detailing the following: - progress & attainment of Low, Middle and High Prior Attainment (KS2)- progress & attainment of girls vs boys- progress & attainment of SEND vs non-SEND, Pupil premium vs non Pupil Premium and EAL vs non EAL. - progress & attainment of individual classes or teachers- progress & attainment of the whole cohort For demonstrating progress and attainment over time, the graph tab provides four line graphs detailing the following: - percentage of work completed/submitted- percentage of students achieving grade 5 +- percentage of students meeting targets- percentage of students exceeding targetsYou can filter each column and the analysis table and graphs will automatically update. For example, perhaps you want to look at how pupil premium boys with low prior attainment are performing in your subject?Colleagues have used it with great success in department meetings, leadership meetings, appraisal meetings, performance management and even with inspectors. Only the white cells are editable, the others are locked and the sheets are password protected (password will be supplied) to avoid any accidental changes to the formulae. Support can be provided post-purchase. If you do have any questions, please email me on gmac83help@gmail.com
