Reflection Revision Planner

Reflection Revision Planner

Instead of a revision timetable, I have created a Reflection Revision Planner. Students: Unlike a timetable, it requires you to reflect on yourself and your studies regularly in order to make sense of what you are studying and why. I hope it will keep you motivated, as you can shape and adapt your revision and have more meaningful study sessions that make a difference. Teachers: Download now for your students!

Supply Teacher / Teaching: School Information Sheet

Supply Teacher / Teaching: School Information Sheet

As a new supply teacher, I wanted to have a blank document to hand which I could take note of key school information, so that if I returned to provide cover again, I would have all the important information in advance. The sheet allows notes to be taken for the following: School Name: Address: Phone: Email: Head Teacher: Key Contact: Uniform: Computer log-in: Additional Notes: (which I would use to note which class(es) I covered, whether I used my own resources to avoid future repetition, what computer programmes they had - incase my SMART presentations couldn't be used etc etc)

Miss Andrew's One Word Learn! Vocabulary Starter PowerPoints

Miss Andrew's One Word Learn! Vocabulary Starter PowerPoints

INCLUDES BOTH POWERPOINTS AND A STARTER IDEA DOCUMENT (3 pages)! Miss Andrew’s One Word Learn! Is a brilliant and effective way of getting secondary students to learn new vocabulary regularly. The PowerPoint is colourful and funky! The idea is to introduce 1 new word at the start of each English lesson (could also be used as a house or extra-curricular activity). You would spend about 7-10 minutes, start to finish on this. For each word there are 4 slides: Title slide: Introduces the word. Definition slide: Gives definition of the word from Oxford Dictionary. Example slide: Two sentences showing the context in which you could use the word in. Activity slide: A wide range of English activities to complete using your new words; such as synonyms, antonyms, sentences, word search, similes, metaphors etc. There are 10 words included in this PowerPoint and 41 slides in total. Our whole school use it and the progress and feedback has been extremely positive! Hope you like them!:)
