Tried and tested recipes, on a sheet to handout to pupils with room for them to add the dates they are cooking. The year 10 recipes also includes a recipe for Christmas Cake that I cook with them in small steamed sponge tins (Simpson pudding from Morrisons).
Recipes used with year 10 pupils in the autumn term. With one hour lessons I was looking for specific skills to develop, so some recipes use standard components (e.g. they have made pastry before so using a ready made pastry case for lemon meringue). Also includes a Christmas cake recipe that we make in small steamed sponge tins, I make a competition of it and it teaches them finishing techniques, the tradition of Christmas cakes and is also fun.
This is a 2 sided learning mat that I have used with year 8 pupils when making cushion covers with an applique design. The front reminds the pupils of the step by step process needed to create the applique design. The back shows them the 3 pieces used to make the cushion cover and how they need to be laid prior to sewing together.

This is a powerpoint that I have put together to introduce the new Food investigation task to the pupils .It includes an explanation of the mark scheme and detailed explanation of what is expected to fully meet the criteria. I have also included a practice NEA, where pupils can try a food investigation task and short write up prior to completing the real one.
