I have a multicultural background and my BA in Education with emphasis in Early Childhood Education is from Arizona State University, USA. I completed my Master’s in Education through Open University, UK. Most recently, I worked as the curriculum developer, teacher trainer and the principal of an international preschool. The resource that I have made available so far is a book titled Phonics for Home. It is a must have resource to share with families.

1. The workbook comprises of holistic, developmentally appropriate emergent literacy experiences that parents/families/carers/teachers can offer young children at home or in a professional setting. 2. The workbook activities and worksheets can be shared with parents/families/carers to build home-school links. 3. Families who have English as an additional language could be empowered through offering the experiences at home to support their children's literacy skills. 4. The experiences and strategies can be easily adapted for use by early years teachers in schools. 5. Since the literacy experiences presented in the workbook cover all aspects of development and learning, each experience can meet several EYFS criteria. 6. In addition to developing reading and writing skills, children will develop the 21st century skills of creativity, problem solving and critical thinking.
