Complete lesson resources for teaching States of matter as part of the Bonding, Structure & Properties topic in the new 9-1 GCSE chemistry specification. These resources are suitable whether you are teaching Separate Chemistry GCSE or chemistry as part of the Combined Science specification. The teacher powerpoint introduces all the key concepts & leads students through the 7 activities that form the student worksheet. All answers are provided on separate slides, allowing feedback/assessment at a pace to be decided by the teacher. ALternatively the answer slides could be printed off & constructed so that students can self-assess as they go on. The practical activity at the end of the slide pack is one many students may have done in year 8, so it is suggested that this be handled as a teacher demonstration & then provide students with the specimen experimental data (in slide pack) for them to draw the graph. Obviously, if desired & time allowed, this could also be done as a full class practical with students obtaining their own data.
