A lesson looking at the initial problems Elizabeth faced on her accession to the throne in 1558. It particularly focuses on her gender, her role and her legitimacy. Suitable for all exam boards

These lessons focus on the indirect and direct intervention in the Netherlands, the singeing of the King’s beard, commerical rivalry and some exam focus ideas.
