Most A Level psychology text books have 'Can You' or 'Check It' type questions on each page. These are exam style questions that help you assess your knowledge. I have written answers to typical 'Can You' questions for the Memory Unit of A Level Psychology. If you're a student, try the questions and then check against the model answers. If you're a teacher, you could set the questions for homework and then perhaps get them to do peer marking using the answers as a marking template. Each file attached is split into a different topic from the memory unit and has A01 (describe), A02 (apply) and A03 evaluate questions. There are full 16 markers for each topic in the unit. This resource goes into more depth about parametric statistical tests. This is probably more useful for 1st year degree level where they will need more information about choosing parametric tests. (For A level, students are not required to calculate variances etc) 01 PowerPoint for teachers (or students) of A level psychology on parametric tests (when to use each one). Includes activities throughout and any questions on the slides will have the answers in the notes section. 02 Is a handy choosing tree to quickly identify which statistical test to use (for parametric and non-parametric tests) and can be displayed in the classroom 02a is the choosing tree with blanks so you can easily and quickly test your students 03 Is a test on which statistical test to use. The test gives a hypothesis and experimental design and then requires students to identify the level of measurement, whether it’s a parametric or non-parametric test, which test to use and the reasons why. It could be used as a test at the beginning of the next lesson. This is the PowerPoint to accompany the video available on the YouTube channel 'Psychology Students' entitled 'Discuss the Relationship between sexual selection and human reproductive behaviour'. The video and PowerPoint cover everything you need for the full model essay (24 marks) and in the notes section of the PowerPoint (under each slide) are the paragraphs for the essay which you can easily cut and paste into the full essay. This PowerPoint is for the essay "Discuss two biological explanations for anorexia". Each slides represents a paragraph of the essay and has the full model essay slide by slide. The pictures are to help you remember each point and there are some memory pegs. There is an activity for students to complete to help them remember the essay and at the end of the PowerPoint is a Memory Story.

A2 Eating Behaviour. PowerPoint to cover the full exam question 'Discuss two or more neural mechanisms in controlling eating behaviour' (24 marks). A model essay is in the 'notes' section (beneath each slide) paragraph by paragraph. YouTube videos are embedded into some of the pictures, either hover the pictures in Slide Show format, or look for the link in the 'notes' section. The videos are there to help consolidate your learning.
