A series of Powerpoints to aid understanding of Act III. Each lesson has differentiated Outcomes and activities linked to the reading of each scene. I am uploading each act as it is finished and will then bundle into one complete scheme.

An 8 page booklet to be completed by students for a homework project. Includes researching schools and punishments; designing a film poster and writing a social services report for Billy.

A lesson created for an observation. Based on analysing quotations related to light and warmth.

2 lessons using imagery to aid descriptive writing - aimed at lower ability.

Close language analysis each booklet = 8hrs of teaching 2 extracts - Propping up the line by Ian Beck and Half a man by Michael Morpurgo. Each booklet is a two hour session based on skills for AQA lanuage paper 1 - getting students to do more close analysis before answering questions. I have used remotely with success, but I have also put into one booklet to be printed at school. No PPT’s just work on the document on screen or online with the students. Alternatively, they could be split and turned into assessments. (N.B. Do Now activity answers could be taken out)

These are a novel way to share outcomes. You can change the subject from English and type in the Unit title. Obviously change my name and picture to personalise for yourself. Insert the first and last slides to your PPT. Getting pupils to comment on what they have learned is specific and sometimes useful.

Whole lesson - resource has all reading questions for the extract but the powerpoint focuses on critical evaluation.
