GCSE History Superpower Relations and the Cold War Timeline for Revision

(0)
A Cold War time line. Students have to make short notes on each event-two consequences and three reasons why each event is important. There are also some events which students have to plan narrative answers to. The idea is that students make very short notes and this will encourage students to start thinking about why each event is important and the consequences of each event. This should help students to start thinking about planning answers to the different questions styles. There is a page for each of the three key topics included and ideally each page would be blown up to A3.

GCSE History 9-1 grade descriptors

(4)
Is your school asking for descriptors for each of the new GCSE grades? I have written a descriptor for each 9-1 GCSE History grade in table format on Microsoft Word. I have identified six criteria for each GCSE History grade: 1. extended writing, 2. using sources, 3. interpretations, 4 own knowledge, 5. reliability, 6. specialist terminology. I have written a descriptor for each criteria/grade which I believe shows clear progression. Unfortunately it is over three pages and will not fit on one page.
