1 hour - 90 min, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS4 or KS5 all about returning to school after the coronavirus pandemic. The lesson allows students firstly to share their feelings and concerns about the lockdown time, the disease itself and missing school. They then investigate how they catch up on any subjects they feel they have fallen behind on. The second half on the lesson has more of a practical focus about how diseases spread, hygiene and how students can protect themselves. Students will then investigate the wider impact on the disease on students throughout the UK and other issues affecting our country, such as the economy and how we carry out our daily social lives. A 25 minute Tutor Time session created especially for LGBT+ Month (Feb 2019). The session serves as an introduction to the LGBT+ / LGBTQAI community, breaking down the acronyms and investigating why it is still a term which it isn’t always easy to define. This is the first of six sessions to be used throughout LGBT+ month, each focusing on and exploring the culture and history of a different aspect of the LGBTQAI community, from Lesbians (L) to Intersex (I). The session contains three challenge learning outcomes, slides of easy to digest information, a clip task with differentiated questions, a quiz and final reflection task.
