Developing Repeat Patterns - Lesson & Worksheets

(0)
A Powerpoint looking at creating a motif design inspired by insects to use within a range of repeat patterns. This resource recaps knowledge from my ‘Intro to Repeat Pattern’ lesson and provides examples and worksheets for creating several different types of patterns by repeating a motif in a different way. You may wish to explain and demonstrate the use of tracing paper for repetition of an image, however, this has not been included in the Powerpoint. This resource is fully editable and has 7 printable worksheets.

Observational Drawing Alphabet - Imagery, Examples and Guidance

(0)
A full alphabet of good quality imagery for students to work from to develop their observational drawing skills. This powerpoint includes prompts and examples of how to build and develop a drawing from observation and would work brilliantly for Remote Learning or long term homework tasks. I originally created this resource as an independent summer task for Year 10 Art GCSE students who were starting a project called ‘Groups and Collections’ but the scaffolding and imagery could be used for any age group.
