Which child doesn’t like a treasure hunt? Cut out the treasure hunt cards and hide them around the environment. You could pop them in a small clear popper wallet to save on laminating and protect them from little hands/weather if outdoors. Provide children with the answer sheet and pencil. (Clipboards are handy) The children go in search of the 12 cards. When they find a card they count the naturals in the picture and write the number down in the corresponding box on their sheet. E.g. they write the answer for ‘A’ card in the ‘A’ box. You can then gvie them the answer sheet to check their answers (and number formation!) Could be a useful baseline type activity for Reception.
