I have created these two documents to support the leveling of skill following Alistair Bryce Clegg training. I have created the ddocuments for both out nursery and reception provision. The nursery stops where emerging skills begin in reception. This document covers the areas of my continuous provision. Some parts of this document are editable so you can add to the skills or move them if you deem appropriate. The aim of this document is to support the adults when levelling their provision correctly. If we have emergent writers in nursery I would want to see the provision levelled to those needs. Likewise exceeding dexterity in reception I would want to see intricate fine motor activities available. I you use this document of find it useful please leave me a review. I have created dinosaur versions of CoEL. We talk about the CoEL a lot with the children and use the dinosaurs to keep it child friendly. The children enjoy choosing a Characteristics during reflection time and explaining how they have achieved that CoEL - e.g. “I was a Riskatops because I was balancing on the beams today”. Included in the resources are the stickers the children wear home, CoEL poster and display dinosaurs that we use in our Characteristics of Effective Learning display. If you download this resource please leave me a review and tag me in anything you share on instagram. I hope you find it useful.
I created number formation mats to enable the adults in the provision to be consistent when supporting number formation. This resource is available in cursive and print. I have created number formation mats a bit like alphabet mats. Also number formation practice booklets. I print the practice sheets in A5 and have these available in the maths area.
