A variety of resources to introduce and practise the future tense AND practise combined with present tense and near future. Also includes resources on the topics of future plans, hobbies and the environment. Full details: Various worksheets and activities to introduce and practise the future tense in French: A few inductive grammar activities to introduce the future tense in French - a match-up exercise followed by inductive grammar exercise and links to a Quizlet and Quizizz games to practise the endings. A variety of exercises to practise the future tense, including multiple-choice, gap-fill and translation. Mostly regular verbs but irregular verbs are introduced in the last activity. Answers included. A short gap-fill on the future tense along with a speaking drill to practise conjugating orally. A gap-fill worksheet to practise using the future tense and correct prepositions with countries in French. A listening activity and verb conjugation activity to practise using the present and future tenses together - a good consolidation exercise for when pupils have studied both tenses separately A selection of activities designed for practising the present, near future and future together. The idea is that pupils should have already studied the present tense and near future before, and have recently covered the future tense. This sheet will then allow for practise using the three together to reinforce the differences between them. Activities include completing tables, translation and listening. Vocab context is free time activities. Answers included. A short listening, matching activity & reading comprehension exercise to consolidate the future tense through listening & reading alongside environment vocab. A sentence builder with a worksheet and list of teaching ideas and activities (listening, speaking, translation) to teach the future tense. Answers for worksheet included. It is within the topic of les loisirs / le temps libre / free time / hobbies. There is enough material for several lessons on this. I made it as a test but it could easily be just a practice exercise. Then a translation exercise that combines present, near future and future for consolidation.

Listening gap-fill activity to practise vocab on describing people - read out the transcript included and pupils fill in gaps. Afterwards you can ask them true or false questions about each of the descriptions, or they can write their own true or false statements for each person. Following this, you could give them the same blank copy and repeat the activity but substitute the gaps for other vocab to practise!

Worksheet introduce and extensively practise vocab to do with daily routines and school. The aim is for pupils to learn all this language, including the verbs as vocabulary, BEFORE you go on to unpack the grammar of reflexive verbs and practise the conjugations.
