I just made these 6 sentence builders to give to my students to revise from for a writing test. This can be used AFTER students have had plenty of practice differentiating between the different vowel sounds in French, including the nasal sounds. A listening and reading comprehension in French to give students a very basic introduction to the French revolution based on a French YouTube video. Aimed at Year 11 roughly (the video is hard but there is plenty of scaffolding in the exercises) Activities include vocab building gap-fill, gapped translation, listening gap-fill, true or false statements, and comprehension with reordering of information. A variety of exercises to practise the future tense, including multiple-choice, gap-fill and translation. Mostly regular verbs but irregular verbs are introduced in the last activity. Answers included. A short gap-fill on the future tense along with a speaking drill to practise conjugating orally. A gap-fill worksheet to practise using the future tense and correct prepositions with countries in French. A listening activity and verb conjugation activity to practise using the present and future tenses together - a good consolidation exercise for when pupils have studied both tenses separately A selection of activities designed for practising the present, near future and future together. The idea is that pupils should have already studied the present tense and near future before, and have recently covered the future tense. This sheet will then allow for practise using the three together to reinforce the differences between them. Activities include completing tables, translation and listening.
