Outstanding PSHE Resilience Lesson

This is an outstanding PSHE/English stand-alone lesson that gets children to write a letter to a fictional boy called ‘Lewis’ who is very negative. The aim is for the children to convince Lewis to adopt a growth mindset and realise that he will be able to eventually do things if he keeps on trying. To provide an authentic experience, it is advised to memorise the ‘I can’t do it Lewis’ story and to provide children with envelopes with the resources already in. This was a 30 minute interview lesson, so the beginning of the lesson the children were made to write their name down on a name tag so the interviewee could easily call children by their name.
