The Goodeyedeers Shop

My name is Mike Jackson, a former primary school headteacher. I've teamed up with a fellow retiree David Horner who was a freelance children's poet delivering poetry workshops to children and teachers in schools across this country and abroad. Between us, we bring an extensive wealth of knowledge and experience to the task of creating quality resources. All the money raised from the sale of our resources goes to a local charity called, MedEquip4Kids.

Recipe Riddles – Make Your Own Planets

(0)
Making bullet points, colons, semi colons, fractions, decimals, decimal fractions and percentages FUN! And all by exploring the Solar System! This resource is aimed at children in Year 5, 6 and 7. Through a number of “recipe riddles”, the children will: • learn how sophisticated punctuation is used in lists; • go on to practise their punctuation of bulleted lists; • develop their knowledge and understanding of fractions, percentages and decimal fractions; • discover more about the planets of our solar system and their moons; • use all they have learnt to write “recipe riddles” of their own. So… what planet can you make out of three-quarters of a plum and one-third of a tomato? We would love to know what you think of our resources, so why not leave us a review? All the money raised from the sale of our resources is donated to a local northwest charity for children called MedEquip4Kids.
