KS3 Frankenstein

KS3 Frankenstein

These are some lessons and resources I created to teach an extremely bright Year 8 group. There are some very challenging work and ideas in here in order to stretch G and T students. There is a lot of focus on Language analysis, creative writing techniques, conventions of gothic literature, theme work and assessments in the style of the new AQA GCSE Literature exploding extracts. There is enough for it to run across two half terms.

Noughts and Crosses (Play version)

Noughts and Crosses (Play version)

This scheme of work will allow students the opportunity to read and perform a play script across 2 half terms. Students will be encouraged to analytically read the texts they are studying and produce a series of written pieces in response to the ideas and issues in the text. The Powerpoint (containing all lessons, resources and homework) was designed for a very bright top set Year 8 class. They analysed the language, the themes, compared the issues to Romeo and Juliet and the poem 'Nothing's Changed'.
