An amusing little rhyme created to help children practice finding number bonds of five using subtraction methods in a fun way! Children build a little worm using 5 cubes and subtract an amount from the caterpillars body. The subtraction sentence is then created! The children in my class made this rather adorable wooden snowmen gifts for home <3 I showed them all how to measure and record how tall they all were, I cut each plank of wood to the children’s heights, the idea being that each Christmas their families could take them out and see how much they have grown!
