Turner's Teaching Resources

Average Rating5.00
(based on 7 reviews)

I am a fully qualified teacher and have been teaching in Key Stage 2 for 11 years. I have a worked tirelessly to get to grips with the new 2014 curriculum and over the last few years I have created resources which I can draw upon and tweek yearly to fit with my creative curriculum. I have decided to start sharing/selling my resources as I have spent time developing them and actually sometimes it's easier to download/buy a quality resource than spending your evenings and weekends making them.

Plotting line graphs to answer questions

(0)
This resource requires the children to draw and plot the data on their line graph in order to answer the questions provided. This is an introductory task to plotting line graphs however there are 3 different questions that the children can complete. All three are slightly different and slightly harder than one another.

Measuring, drawing and problem solving with angles

(0)
This resource is a really comprehensive range of activities for angles. There is angle/definition sorting; estimating angles, drawing angles, measuring angles, problem solving by finding missing angles on a line with up to three sections, problem solving by finding missing angles in a circle with up to three sections, finding missing angles when lines cross and then problem solving with lines on a page using knowledge of shapes and lines and angles to find as many angles as they can.

Attached is a differentiated task for bar charts. Lower ability: use the data provided and plot it on the graph. Higher ability: the data is provided so that they can draw the graph and plot the data themselves.

Adding and subtracting problem solving

This activity requires the children to add amounts and to find the journey the numbers go on. These is a answer sheet provided and each differentiated task requires the children to solve an addition and a subtraction problem.
Percentage of amounts

Percentage of amounts

Differentiated activities for percentages of amounts. The activites range from simple 50% and 25% with bar models to support to 1% of amounts. The activities ar e colour coded from purple to yellow. Purple, blue, green, red, yellow and increase in difficulty. The red and green task are the same as I intend for my red group to complete it independently whilst my green group will be supported during a section of the lesson.

LA: Blue MA: Green HA: Red Challenge: Yellow There are a range of activities which ask children to identify the value of digits within a number, underline the correct amounts with a number, write the number in words. Specifically planned for a Year 5 lesson but could be used for Year 6 to recap a Year 5 objective.

Children have to follow rules to create specific numbers and then put them in size order. Blue: LA Green: MA Red: HA Yellow: challenge Planned to meet a Year 5 objective but could be used as revision for Year 6.

This bundle includes a lesson plan for children in upper key stage 2; there are resources and success criteria attached. The tasks range from simple regular shapes rotated from a point to complex irregular rotation art tasks from within a shape. I am using this lesson for children between 4 developing to 6 mastering. Also included on the plan is a task for SEN children, I've included the bar chart resources for them also as they are on the same plan.

This task is like a wordsearch but it's a sum search the children need to find the two numbers and the answer and circle them in the correct colour to how the operation that has been used.
