Spanish stem changing verbs conjugation no prep worksheet

(1)
A no frills, no prep worksheet where the students fill out the conjugated forms of stem changing verbs (a mix of AR, ER and IR-verbs). The meaning in English is provided for all of the verbs that are to be conjugated so that the students can make sense of the sentences, and the stem change is indicated (for example, e-ie, e-i, et cetera). When there are more than one of the same vowels within the stem, the one to be changed is marked in bold. This worksheet does not include the vosotros form. This worksheet doesn’t require any prep, you can just print it and hand it out. Happy stress-free teaching!

Spanish stem changing verbs stick figures fun no prep worksheet

This original, hand drawn worksheets contains cute and funny stick figures showing the meaning of the verb that the students are asked to conjugate according to the given subject pronoun within the speech bubble. The amount of letters for them to write is written out in blanks so that they can see if they are wrong and have too many letters. The stem change to be performed is written out after the verb. For example: almorzar, o-ue. In other words, they don’t have to know all of the verbs shown in the worksheet, nor which stem change pertains to a particular verbs. No prep! You can just print it and hand it out as long as you have taught what a stem changing verb is and how to conjugate it. Happy stress-free teaching!

Spanish si clauses no prep worksheet

Spanish si clauses no prep worksheet

(0)
Students fill in 22 fill in the blank sentences where they have to choose either the conditional form of the verb in parenthesis or the imperfect subjunctive. There is a reminder at the beginning of the worksheet that the conditional never goes in the si clause and that the order is sometimes reverse. At the bottom of the worksheet students choose 3 out of the sentences they have filled out and translate them, putting the number of the translated sentence in parenthesis. I use these worksheets in my classes all the time and the students like them because they help them grasp the content without confusing or frustrating them. I have carefully constructed this worksheet to not require any prep. In other words, there is no overly complicated vocabulary that may impede comprehension, no verbs that are irregular or spell changing in the conditional tense or imperfect subjunctive mood. If you have taught how to conjugate in the conditional and imperfect subjunctive mood and have explained where the conditional vs imperfect subjunctive goes in a si clause, you can just print and hand out/upload and assign this worksheet to your students. Happy stress-free teaching!

Back to School student survey board game fun no prep first day any subject

(0)
This is a great fun first day activity for any subject, no preparation needed, you can just print it and hand it out! Students will ideally play this game in pairs, but can easily do it in groups of three if your classes are uneven. All they will need is a printed board game (which you can laminate if you want, so you can use it over and over) and a dice. They throw the dice and move forward accordingly. Wherever they land, they will have to answer the question, such as for example “What do you do after school” or “What is your dream job”? You can encourage the students to answer as detailed as possible and explain their “why”, if you want. If students don’t know how to answer a question or would like to skip a question they have to move their game piece (which could be an eraser, a paper clip or something similar) back to the last place where they were. A fun interactive twist to the good ol’ student survey! The board game has been hand-drawn and I have made sure to center all the drawings and questions around students’ interests. I have taught both middle school and high school and am confident that this board game would appeal to students at any level ☺. Happy stress-free first day of school! ❤ Let’s Romance!

French passé composé with avoir conjugation of regular ER-verbs fun no prep worksheet

(0)
Your students will love solving this magic square! It’s challenging enough yet fun and self-correcting. Students identify different conjugated forms in the passé composé of the regular verbs parler, danser, chanter and manger and put the corresponding number in the correct square. Once they have identified all verb forms and every square has a number in it, they sum up the numbers. If the numbers add up to 34 horizontally, vertically and diagonally in all rows, everything is correct. If they don’t, the student has to find the error and correct it so that the numbers add up to 34. 34 is the magic number! . Enjoy!
Spanish preterite or imperfect no prep worksheet

Spanish preterite or imperfect no prep worksheet

I created this worksheet after having trouble finding anything on the preterite or imperfect that didn’t require a ton of prep, which I didn’t have time for. In other words, this worksheet has been carefully constructed to not require any prep, you can just print it and hand it out. There is a chart with clear examples demonstrating the most common uses of the preterite and the imperfect and 20 fill in the blank sentences (some of which contain more than one fill in the blank). The students read the sentences and use the chart for reference in order to figure out if the verbs in parentheses should be conjugated in the preterite or the imperfect. At the bottom of the page students choose 3 of the sentences and put the number of the sentences they’ve chosen within the parentheses. They then explain in English why what it was in that sentence that steered the usage of the preterite or the imperfect. The sentences have been carefully constructed to not be confusing or contain any difficult vocabulary that might impede students from being able to figure out with tense it should be and choose the right form. This worksheet does not contain any irregular, stem changing or yogo verbs, only regular AR, ER, IR-verbs. A no frills, hassle-free worksheet. Happy stress free teaching!

Italian definite and indefinite articles family members fun no prep worksheet

My students love solving magic squares, it’s fun, yet challenging enough, and self-correcting. It’s also the homework that your students will actually want to do! Students locate family members in Italian with either definite or indefinite articles and put the corresponding number in the correct square. The articles that are practiced in this magic square are: uno, un, una, alcuni, alcune, il, la, i, le. Once they have located all phrases and every square has a number in it, they sum up the numbers. If the numbers equal to 34 horizontally, vertically and diagonally in all rows, everything is correct. If they don’t, they have to find the error and correct it so that the numbers equal to 34. Spanish impersonal se hand drawn no prep fun worksheet

The students write sentences based on signs and sentence prompts, using the following 3 varieties of impersonal se: se + third personal singular due to singular noun (for example “se come pollo”) where the student will base his/her sentence off the numbered sign and sentence prompt (comer/pollo) se + third person plural due to plural noun (for example “se aceptan las tarjetas” (where the student will base his/her sentence off the numbered sign and sentence prompt (aceptar/las tarjetas) se + third person singular due to verb (for example “se prohibe fumar”) (where the student will base his/her sentence off the numbered sign and sentence prompt (prohibir/fumar) Perfect to hand out for independent practice after a powerpoint presentation on the impersonal se. I created this worksheet after having trouble finding worksheets on the impersonal se that were easy to use, fun, and made sense to students while also not confusing the impersonal se with the passive voice. Enjoy!
