How Do I Feel? Emotions Card Set

How Do I Feel? Emotions Card Set

The How Do I Feel? Emotions Cards are a set of bright, colorful cards that are designed to help children identify emotions that are positive, in-between and negative. Each set of emotions is represented by a different color, comes with an intro card that simply explains how that emotion makes you feel, then shows a series of four or five different faces, with the appropriate emotion written underneath. These cards were designed to support children with Autism, who may have trouble identifying their own feelings, or recognising the feelings of others just by looking at their facial expression. Over time, these cards could assist children to associate the expressions they’ve seen on the cards, with the faces of those they are interacting with. They are meant to be cut out, assembled and fastened with a lanyard or ring, so that they can be either worn by parents or teachers, or be hung up in a place where children are able to access them when they need to. This card set beautifully compliments the How Am I Feeling Right Now? poster and the Emotion TEACHING Cards that I also have listed. PLEASE NOTE: The preview pictures show only SOME of the pages you will receive in your download. Thank you for shopping at LittlePeopleLove! I hope you enjoy your products and find them both lovely to look at and supportive of the special little people in your life! Kate xx

How Do I Feel Right Now? Emotion Scale

How Do I Feel Right Now? Emotion Scale

This colorful, engaging poster was designed especially for children with Autism, but it would also be helpful to all children when displayed in classrooms, particularly in the junior year levels. It includes groups of emotions based words and matches them with a child’s facial expression and a photo of the ocean, that reflects how they might be feeling on the inside. Fantastic as a teaching tool for when children are in a calm and relaxed state, then progresses to an emotional diagnostic tool for children when they’re having feelings that they are unable to express verbally. This poster beautifully compliments the Emotions Cards and Emotion TEACHING Cards I also have listed. Thank you for shopping at LittlePeopleLove! Time Countdown Cards

Time Countdown Cards

These Time Countdown Cards are an excellent resource for your classroom/centre and an effective way of supporting children to transition from one activity to another. Suitable for toddlers, right through to junior primary (elementary) age groups, the cards start at five minutes from when you need the children to pack up and count down to Time’s Up using a picture, number and written cue. They are designed to be hung on a lanyard or ring, and worn by teachers/educators/aides, so they are easily accessible. These cards are particularly good for supporting children on the Autism Spectrum, who might have trouble coping when activities change or they’re very focused on a task, but they work extremely well in all classrooms, to help all children prepare for change and new instructions. These cards can be hung on a lanyard with another of my listings, the Transition Reminder Cards. Combining the two sets will allow you to support the children further, as you can hold up the minute card and the task card that’s coming next, to hopefully avoid the meltdowns that can occur with sudden change or surprise! All About Book - Christmas Time Social Story

All About Book - Christmas Time Social Story

The All About: What Happens at Christmas Time book, is a detailed social story about the different aspects of Christmas. It was designed primarily for children on the Autism Spectrum and those with anxiety or short term memory challenges, to act as a guide to what to expect at Christmas time. The book aims to inform children about the changes in their lives at Christmas, etiquette and behaviour expectations, and to prepare them for things they might experience or come across at this time of the year. You can also customise it specifically for your child - you don’t have to include all of the pages in the file, simply choose the ones that best suit your child and their family, needs and development and then adjust it each year as your child grows and changes! This book features:\ A page of how to use this book instructions for parents or teachers. Nineteen pages addressing different aspects of Christmas time and includes clear, colored images and a remember section to provide children with a practical application that applies to each topic. A section that is designed for your child to complete themselves/with a grown up - answering all of the questions they may have about Christmas for them and what happens in their family and at school/pre school. Two sets of calendars for both home and school, that children can complete with all of the Christmas events they will be involved in. This book is encouraging, supportive and interesting to look at and can assist your child or student to navigate this very busy and overwhelming time of the year! All you need to do is print and cut out the pages (I recommend you laminate the front page), then assemble in the order that best suits your child and either have the book spiral bound at an office store or use a hole punch and hinged rings to fasten it together! Also available for sale is the Reminder Cards - Christmas Time, which are a summarised version of this book and were designed to compliment this book and be a travel pack that your child can take with them wherever they go during the Christmas season.
