Bella Montessori Materials

Hello! And thank you for visiting my shop. I'm an AMI trained Montessori teacher with over 35 years of classroom experience. I recently retired and turned my attention to making materials. I've made materials for my friends and myself for many years and now I have the time, I've discovered how much I really enjoy it! My materials tend to be traditional, based on my training, easy to make and use. But I do occasionally like to play around with cute ideas for ECE and childcare.

I'm very excited about this new work! I had a version of this that I made for my own classroom a very long time ago, but I wish I was in the classroom now so that I could use this! Included are 54 cards of the Presidents with the number of their presidency and name beneath their picture. The cards are placed in order on "picture frame" mats included, beginning with just a few. I've also included instructions on making and presenting this material. I hope you have as much fun using this as I had making it. Guided Writing Practice - Winter Words - Cursive

When I was in the classroom, my children loved all kinds of writing practice. I often made these special word and picture lists for them. This one is a collection of winter words with line drawings that they can color when they are finished tracing over the gray line words. All you have to do is download, print, copy, cut in half to make two different lists and place with your writing materials.

Parts Of A Horse - Montessori 3 Part Cards

These are traditional Montessori reading classification cards. There are control cards with the image and word together, a separate image picture and a separate word label for the image. Children read and label the image and check their work with the control card. The card for the entire horse is in color. The “parts of” cards have the horse in gray scale with the featured part in light brown. The parts featured include the horse, torso or barrel (whichever you prefer as I have included both), neck, mane, ears, eyes, nostrils, forelegs, hindlegs and tail. I have also included a line drawing of the image for the children to use to make their own “parts of” booklet. Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my work! Mary

This was a favorite activity in my class. Children seldom needed much encouragement to carefully trace within the letters. This file is a very simple tracing of print letters with no pictures so that the child who is new to this activity won't be distracted.

Subtraction Tables of Combinations

I made these larger sized booklets to help my students be more successful when working with the Subtraction Strip Board. Most of the booklets or pages I found were a little too small. The younger writers would become “lost” on the page and became frustrated when recording their answers. Making the work pages larger worked much better for us. The pages measure around 3 1/2" by 7 1/2". Gray lined spaces show where to record the answers. I hope you find these helpful and thanks so much for checking out my work! Animal Body Coverings - Montessori Zoology

When I made this, I focused on trying to keep it simple so that even very young children would be able to do this work independently following a presentation or observation. So I color coded the three types of coverings; fur, scales and feathers. At the same time, it kept wanting to become a reading classification language work. So I extended the work for older children by adding separate labels and control cards. You receive: six examples of each covering, reading labels and control cards for readers. Thanks so much for considering my work!

Winter Masterpieces - Montessori

This collection of winter themed masterpieces has become my favorite of the season. The children in my class loved closely inspecting each picture and talking together before placing them on a small easel with a doily. (Think flower arranging procedure.) There are 12 different masterpieces by artists such as Peter Bruegel, Claude Monet, and Mary Cassatt. You could also use two copies to make matching cards and three-part-cards. Thank you so much for your interest in our material.
