Sequences & Series Revision Foldable

(1)
Sequences & Series Revision Foldable This resource includes two revision foldables for review of arithmetic and geometric sequences and series. An arithmetic sequence is defined as a sequence in which there is a common difference between terms. An geometric sequence is defined as a sequence in which there is a common ratio between consecutive terms i.e. every term is a constant multiple (common ratio) of the term preceding it. Foldables can be used as a revision or summary exercise at the end of a topic. As the answers are hidden pupils can use these to ‘test’ themselves or ask someone else such as a parent to test them. They also make a great addition to any class book, making it an interactive notebook. Please follow the printing instructions, selecting scale to fit. This resource includes an A4 size and a letter (US) size, please select the most appropriate for you. Thank you for looking, we hope the NumberLoving resources are useful to colleagues. Pupils can answer on mini whiteboards; use discussion to introduce and model that the movement left/right should be given first, followed by the move up/down. The main activity “Translation mystery” is differentiated to two levels in which pupils use the clues to plot and translate shapes; level 1 uses words e.g. “left right” where as the second level uses vectors.
