The resource is accessible for students, easy for teachers to follow and is appropriate for TRIPLE SCIENCE ONLY, Foundation and Higher tiers. Please note that this lesson covers the Edexcel Chemistry Paper 1 content on chemical cells and hydrogen fuel cells. “Recall that a chemical cell produces a voltage until one of the reactants is used up” “Recall that in a hydrogen–oxygen fuel cell hydrogen and oxygen are used to produce a voltage and water is the only product” “Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of fuel cells for given uses” This lesson does not cover the Paper 2 content comparing and contrasting hydrogen and petrol as fuels. For Combined Science, Foundation students only need to cover the first two objectives; Higher tier candidates also need to learn about factors affecting the position of the equilibrium.
