This lesson is the 4th lesson in the fifth theme of the new WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at how low pressure systems causes extreme weather events. Pupils explore this through looking at South Asian Monsoons and the 2015 Cyclone Pam. The activities for most of the work is on the powerpoint and the worksheets are attached.

This lesson is the 7th lesson in the fifth theme of the new WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at urban micro-climates and how they affect the weather is an urban area. This lesson also uses an investigation where pupils go around their school exploring different micro-climates. The activities are r on the worksheet and on the powerpoint.

This lesson is the second lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson covers the what the sphere of influence is. It looks at what weakens and strengths it, an example of a sphere of influence and exam questions to help sum up pupils knowledge.

This lesson is the fifth lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks continuing counter-urbanisation by pupils feedback their research to the class (and if needed the slides to go through the information- if you want to) and looking at commuting- the factors that has lead to an increase and decrease, a range of exam questions and skills based questions and homework on a case study for Cardiff.

This lesson is the 3rd lesson in the sixth theme of the WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at how companies such as Nike operate in NICs and LICs and why they operate in these countries. The lesson also looks at the positives and negatives of these companies in countries such as Vietnam.

WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 6- Lesson 10- UK's North-South Divide and Assessed Homework
This lesson is the 10th lesson in the sixth theme of the WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at the North-South Divide that exists within the UK. It looks at the social and economic reasons for it and the effects of the divide. The lesson also covers the case study of deindustrialisation of Sheffield.
This lesson also contains an assessed homework which is used to help students revise for their test but also used as another form of assessment. The markscheme is detailed which will help you as teachers to be able to mark the assessed homework with ease.

This lesson is the seventh lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at the various different strategies that can be done to help make a rural community sustainable. Pupils do various different tasks and summarise their knowledge through exam questions which help them practise their exam prac skills.

WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 2- Lesson 12 and 13- Retail in the UK
This is the twentieth and thirtieth lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at the retail section of the topic. This lesson can be done in the full hour or to make it easier because there is a lot of tasks you can split it up over two lessons. The lesson covers where retail occurs, different features of retailing and hour technology has changed the way we shop. The lesson contains a range of activities all aimed to help with pupils exam practise. The plenary also contains an exam question but it focus on “how far do you agree?” style of questions, where pupils fill in the planning sheet first before answering the question.

WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 2- Lesson 11- Urban Regeneration- Brownfield Development- Cardiff Bay
This is the eleventh lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at brownfield site developments and pupils judge if they are a sustainable way of regenerating an area. Pupils look at this lesson through the context of Cardiff Bay. There are multiple slides (that I recommend you print instead of going through them all) on the history of Cardiff Bay and the reasons why it went into decline. Pupils then look at the advantages and disadvantages of the development by categorising the. The lesson finishes with exam practise.

This lesson is the seventh lesson of the river's section of Theme 1 of the new WJEC Geography GCSE course.
This lesson pack includes:

WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 2- Lesson 1- What links rural and urban places together? An overview
This lesson is the first lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography. This lesson covered a basic overview of what vocabulary they need to know for the 2.1 key question (this is done as a starter), looks at sparsely populated areas and densely populated areas in Wales and looks migration with push and pull factors (helps pupils understand the basic link between urban and rural area).
Pupils summarise their knowledge into an exam question that covers both a skills-based question and a suggest question.

WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 2- Lesson 9-The Housing Crisis
This lesson is the ninth lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at why we have a housing crisis and what solutions there are to slow down the crisis. One of these solutions are garden cities in which we look in detail and look at Plasdwr as our garden city. This case study will also form part of the greenfield development case study. Exam practise on “To what extent” and “How far do you agree?” questions is done throughout to help pupils practise a really hard exam question type.

This lesson is the eighth lesson in the second theme of the new WJEC/ Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at the reasons for migration occuring witin the UK but also looking at the reasons and consequences of an ageing populations. Exam Practise throughout helps pupils understand how what they had learnt may be asked in the exam.

WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 5- Lesson 17- Sustainable Management of Savannah and Assessed H/W
This lesson is the 17th lesson in the fifth theme of the new WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
This lesson looks at how the savannah can be managed sustainably. The 10 minutes on sheet helps students engage and recap on previous lessons work on the savannah- the sheet idea came from Jen Monk. Most of the activities are on the powerpoint. As this is the last teaching lesson, pupils will as homework have to complete the assessed homework, which helps them to focus their revision on areas of weakness after it is marked. The markscheme is detailed which will help you as teachers to be able to mark the assessed homework with ease. The other homework is to research a small scale ecosystem of sand dunes (this can obviously be changed).

WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 SPEC- Theme 5- Lesson 9 and 10- The Tropical Rainforest Characteristics and
These are the 9th and 10th lesson in the fifth theme of the new WJEC/ WJEC Eduqas 2016 specification for geography.
The 9th lesson looks at the characteristics of the tropical rainforest. Students look at the climate and vegetation of the rainforest. They practise their exam skills at being able to describe distribution and plotting a climate graph by using a given set of data. All the activities/ tasks are on the powerpoint.
The 10th lesson looks at the processes that occur within the tropical rainforest. Students summarise their understanding by completing the worksheet attached. Those that completed the extension question, then the markscheme for it is also attached.
