This resource is an attempt to make IGCSE matrices more meaningful and deliberate practice more fun. Students will learn how to use matrices to find area of the triangle given its coordinates, solve simultaneous equations and use Hill Cypher to practise multiplying matrices. Click the grey rectangles to reveal the answers (as seen on drfrost ppts).
I am lucky to teach very able students. However, they get frustrated when have to do ‘easy’ past papers. The resource is a collection of challenging exam questions from different exam boards (including Edexcel AEA) with MS at the end of the document.
10 different sets of worksheets covering most of the CIE AS Level Maths. I use them for revision to identify students’ misconceptions. Most qs are taken from past exam papers, textbooks. Set 0 is for the days when you want to have even more fun in your lessons. Let me know if you spot any mistakes.
10/04 I’ve corrected q6 in set 10.
The worksheet is a drilling exercise to encourage students to write a work-energy equation first and avoid calculating and rounding anything of too early. Full solutions are at the end of the document.
