I have created a comprehensive mark scheme for KS3 so that it matches the new GCSE criteria. This includes: 1. Mapping KS3 skills to the new GCSE AOs 2. Providing 9-1 grading for each AO 3. Providing indicative content for every skill and every grading 4. Providing sample terminology for each grading at AO2 5. Exemplar pieces of writing, matched to AO5 and AO6 This document has taken a year of trialling and is now used by the entire English department. I am happy to provide the department's general marking policy upon request.
