When we ask students to create analytical pieces, we want them to use their ACADEMIC VOICE. This is so important for young people - in this resource I have gathered over 80+ analytical phrases and words that will enable young people to be able to create these and get the grades they want.
I do not know how many times we sit and mark analytical paragraphs and think - not perceptive enough, not enough judicious quotations, not linked to the question. Use my Grade 9 model with the recipe I used to create it. Laminate them! Stick them side by side and watch your students finally conquer their paragraphing issues. I completed mine on the nefarious Lady Macbeth! I have this on A1 posters in my room and it works a treat!
Full urn down of all five acts with key scenes. Historical context outlined carefully to the students so they can understand when to use it. 7 detailed and grade 9 model answers that are exceptional. A grid of vocabulary that will enable your pupils to achieve that sophisticated and analytical voice. The best Macbeth resource I have seen.
These lessons are all lessons I would use for interview lessons or an inspection. Incredibly detailed lessons on persuasive and creative writing. Model Answers on everything. New vocabulary embedded into everything. Starter, new information, model, students time to work and plenary included in every lesson. They will last a full three weeks. Videos and images to inspire students.
