Each spelling list covers a specific rule from the year 5 curriculum, or common exception words. Note, as the spelling curriculum for year 5 is merged with that of year 6, I have separated the spellings into two separate year groups. Ideal for Y5 to fit with the SPaG 2014 curriculum. Could also be used for recapping with Y6. This lesson has also successfully introduced Y4 to relative clauses during the summer term. Introduces what a relative clause is. Introduces a relative pronoun. On screen activity in identifying relative clauses, relative pronouns and noun phrases. Very easy to follow - step by step. Two differentiated follow up tasks are included for children to work on identifying relative clauses (and relative pronouns where appropriate). This lesson has led to children using relative clauses successfully in their writing.
