We at Zinc are passionate about getting students reading! Teachers love using Zinc Reading Labs as a warm-up/do now, for an entire class period weekly and/or as a homework assignment. Zinc offers a great way to increase independent reading, to pre-teach vocabulary, prep for standardized tests, and to find nonfiction text that supplements curriculum already in place. Our assessments push critical thinking skills and give teachers insight into students' areas of strength and weakness. Our questions align to Common Core State Standards and discrete critical reading skills, so educators can monitor progress and mastery. Assessments mimic the style students will encounter on standardized tests, like the PARCC, SBAC, PSAT, ACT, SAT and AP's, so provide ideal test prep. Given the high level of questions, they also are great prep for IB exams and an ideal supplement to that curriculum.
