Economics: All the lessons x 82 (Covers the OCR, Edexcel, IGCSE and A-Level syllabus)

This contains 82 whole lessons and resources to teach the different aspects of the entire Economics course. Recently Updated!! NOTE: MOST additional resources, such as articles, games, activities are all available FREE in my shop under handouts. These are often linked to in my lessons. HOWEVER, quite a few worksheets are missing (not free) and TES has a limit on how much you can upload in one resource, so please message me once purchased with screen shot and I will email these separately straight away!! When I originally created the majority of the presentations / lessons was when I was teaching the Camberidge IGCSE and A -Level spec, and the book we used was by Monyihan and Titley, and was called the 'Complete Economics for Cambridge IGCSE and A-LEVEL'. However, I have taught the A-Level course since and it should cover the entire Edexcel A-Level syllabus and obviously the OCR GCSE course. I have used the PowerPoint slides to structure the lesson, specifically slides to prompt/force myself to ask those key questions at the right moments, slides to explain key words with short and easy explanations, prompts for me the teacher when to use the different activities, games, handouts, articles etc... all lessons include answers, starters, plenary's and learning objectives . These resources have helped me as a teacher to be very organised, structured and stress free... !! NOTE: Please as always rate and feedback, it is really helpful. However, please ask if something is missing and not rate my hard work and resources down, thanks.

Number: Ordering Decimals and FDP Equivalents (+ lots of resources)

This is a lesson designed for KS2 and KS3 on ordering decimals and converting fractions and percentages into decimals in order to order. This is such a common exam questions and I am not suggesting promoting this lesson for that reason, but rather FDP and ordering are such core skills !!! This lesson combines lots of different activities and types of questions to help pupils improve their understanding. It comes with: + a starter, + learning objectives, + key words, + superb teaching slides + matching activity + worksheet with answers (often finished for HWK) + plenary (17 slides) NOTE: Feel free to browse my shop for more excellent free and premium resources and as always please rate and feedback, thank you.

Geometry: Construction - Constructing Triangles

Geometry: Construction - Constructing Triangles

This contains a whole lesson aimed at KS3 looking at constructing triangles using compass, ruler and protractor. This is NOT my longest PowerPoint as it takes time to get everybody happy with using a compass and constructing. It contains a starter, learning objectives, key words, very clear animated teachings slides and examples, questions to attempt with answers and plenary. This is a tricky topic to teach and I have found the examples as they are so visual very useful to explaining what the objectives are about. I often use a big compass and repeat the slides on a normal white board as well. This leads nicely in the topic of LOCI, which can also be found in my resources. Number: Negatives 2 - Four Operations & Problems (+ resources)

This is the second whole lesson looking at negative numbers (negatives) using the four different operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) and lots of different real life contexts. Lesson 2: looks at negative rules with all four operations. It includes an excellent key word slide with all the different words that can come up in exams that pupils need to understand. It also comes with a two sided worksheet with answers, as well as learning objectives, starter and plenary. It is designed for KS3, but in my experience even top sets at KS4 often have issues with negatives. When I teach negatives to KS3, I thus look to teach it as thoroughly as possible and so for some groups it will be 3 lessons or even 4. I have included plenty of worksheets and material. Geometry: Angle Rules 5 - Interior and Exterior Angles (regular polygons) + resources

Geometry: Angle Rules 5 - Interior and Exterior Angles (regular polygons) + resources

This is the fifth in a 7 lesson series on different basic angle rules, which is designed for KS3, but I do use some of the lessons for weaker groups at KS4. Lesson 1 - Angles at a Point / Straight Line Lesson 2 - Angles in parallel lines Lesson 3 - Angles in triangles Lesson 4 - Interior and Exterior Angles (sum) Lesson 5 - Interior and Exterior Angles (regular polygons) Lesson 6 - Angle Problems Lesson 7 - Congruent and Similar Triangles I have found over the years, that teaching these lessons over more lessons than less pays dividends!! That it is often a subject skirted over quickly and has to be re taught year on year. It is often a subject that even at KS4, pupils struggle over. To address this each of the lessons is very thorough on the different rules, with activities, hand made worksheets that are differentiated with trickier examples with answers, exam questions, starters and plenaries. I have spent a long time over the years developing lessons to help pupils progress in this area. You can buy this as a BUNDLE, which I highly recommend as a series / sequence of lessons. Number: Mathematics and Money (+ 2 worksheets)

Number: Mathematics and Money (+ 2 worksheets)

I made this lesson after realising how poor pupils kind of "real life" maths / common sense was. This was reflected by how poorly older pupils did with number problem questions in exams. The lesson is designed for younger pupils in KS2 and KS3 to build some of these cross curricular and functional maths skills. The lesson is fairly simply in the eyes of some, but involves around be able to write numbers into words and vice versa and ordering food from a menu, with different money questions, like change and tips. It is a lesson, so it comes with a starter, learning objectives, teaching slides, ANSWERS and plenary. I am starting to upload more functional lessons, so if you do like this one, then do look in my shop and look out for more coming. Geometry: Tessellations 2 - Letters & Art / Design (+ resources)

Geometry: Tessellations 2 - Letters & Art / Design (+ resources)

This is the second of two lessons that I teach on tessellations. This is a topic done poorly in exams mainly, because students do NOT know what it is ... I have created two lessons designed for KS3 to address that. I don't know why teachers skip it, there are so many cross-curricular links especially with Art and above all... it is a fun lesson / topic. Pupils love it ! There is a lot of material with this lesson (22 slides) NOTE: feel free to browse my shop for more excellent free and premium resources, and as always please rate and feedback, thank you.
