I use this by having students get into groups of 4. They then rotate the questions around the group and have 2-3 minutes to answer each question. The first person writes their response at the bottom and then folds over their response, the second person then writes their response above but cannot see the previous response. After the students have responded to all questions, they can compare and contrast their responses in their group. Suitable for GCSE and A-Level Philosophy and Ethics students.

I have used this in conjunction with an excerpt from the movie ‘The Prince of Egypt’ which shows the plagues affecting the people of Egypt but it would work just as well after reading the story together from the Bible.

Used originally for Theory of Knowledge in the IB Diploma - the learning objective is essentially for students to have the opportunity to think critically about their education system and the extent to which it is effectively preparing them for their life to come. Includes an activity linked to the TED Talk: Do schools Kill Creatively which is readily available via TED and youtube- this presentation would be a useful tutor time activity/ PSHE or Life Skills activity too.
