10 item self esteem questionnaire, with scoring. Before working with a child or starting a workshop, I often ask them to complete this short questionnaire to gage their self esteem and self awareness. I then repeat the questionnaire after the workshop or in 6+ weeks time (optional) - I like to hide the first score to increase validity. Previously, I have cut the questionnaires out and presented it back-to-back on A5 card, allowing the student to visualise the progress. The questionnaire is short and simple and therefore can be used on students 11+ (guidance may be needed). The questions are taken directly from the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (1965).
