I'm currently working as Head of Humanities at a school in Bristol, England. I've always been passionate about my specialist subject, RE and have a keen interest in producing Philosophy resources which are suitable for children. I also endeavour to upload as much as I can for the new GCSE specs, as I produce new resources. Come back and visit again soon for my own versions of specimen papers, glossaries, homework and extension tasks, as well as lesson ideas for AQA GCSE RE Spec A.

Why does prejudice happen and what are the different types of prejudice?

There are easily enough resources (10) for two lessons here. The 'images' can be distributed to students (of different examples of prejudice) for them to guess the lesson topic or to pull together what they have in common. They then have some introductory lessons on the PP, before completing a Scavenger Hunt, around the room. They look at cases studies from story lines from Eastenders to Stephen Lawrence and complete a data collection sheet, before bringing it all together with a consolidation activity. I previously used this with GCSE students but there are differentiated activities included if it needs to be adapted for young or older students.

A lesson resource to introduce topics within Medical Ethics. This PP introduces the issues by asking students to think about the Trolley Problem, some case studies and then consider the Christian Principle, 'The Sanctity of Life'. A prompt for lesson activities.
