A Marking codes insert for exercise books that supports Literacy and writing for progress based on the Grade 9-1 GCSE in Religious Studies for AQA. Colleagues can modify according to the needs of their schools but this will help reduce the amount of repeat written instructions and develop more symbol based marking.

Hi all. To support the Spec B AQA Religious Studies GCSE - model answers for unit 1 Religion and citizenship, covering identity, relationships, sport and multicultural society, marked and checked by an AQA examiner. Please note you can use these for revision; live marking or sharing with less able pupils to make more progress. There are more to come. I have used the mark scheme from AQA to support these answers.
AQA SPEC B UNIT 2 is coming to an end this year but much of the content in the NEW GRADE 9-1 GCSE SPEC A is the same especially in the Thematic studies modules. This will support progress for all learning groups.
these 50 quick questions can be used in paired or group activities as well as independent learning activities. The aim is to embed knowledge and allow pupils to recall and apply knowledge and understanding. The Quick Question approach was observed in maths lessons so I have tried to adopt it for Religious Studies. Hope it helps all colleagues and pupils!

Simple revision sheet for all pupils studying the AQA A 9-1 GCSE Islam unit. Summarises the main parts between articles and pillars in Sunni Islam. The majority of questions in beliefs and practices focus on the 6 articles and 5 pillars. This would be ideal for Grade 3-6 students and it has also been good for grades 7-9 as a form of revision.
A story board to support the AQA A Islam 9-1 Beliefs and practices. Ideal for lower ability and for use with higher ability pupils who may omit basic beliefs when developing their responses.
A list of beliefs and practices with key bits in bold to support learners who revise best through lists. I have tried to reduce fact so it is in small chunks. Pupils can use the sheet printed on 4 sheets per page and fold for a mini cards revision list. Supports learners of all abilities. As a teaching tool can be used to check misconceptions, affirm previous learning and be used a tick sheet to self reflect on what pupils know.
Thanks for having a look at these resources. I have found the new spec and available resources needing more support so I have put together these model responses for Studying Society and Research methods 38 MODEL ANSWERS. We teach Sociology 9-1 to a very mixed ability grouping. These model answers focus on 3 and 4 mark questions which focus on specific knowledge AO1 and AO2. They can support a wide range of target grades, lower ability pupils can use them to practice and learn how to respond to questions. Middle and Higher ability pupils can use them to augment them further. I have used the AQA recommended Textbook by Collins which features many of the practice questions. I have further used the exam spec, mark scheme indicative knowledge and textbook to develop each response. Feedback much appreciated. I anticipate these model responses can be used every year with a broad range of pupils. Appreciate feedback.
This is for AQA SPEC A 9-1 GCSE Islam practices. The booklet uses the specification and puts together a full range of key information and relevant GCSE Exam style questions. Pupils enjoyed the booklet and it allowed all abilities in the groups to access the learning.
This booklet covers 4 and 5 markers for Paper 1 and Paper 2 in GCSE Religious Studies AQA A. During challenging times, colleagues are under pressure to continue to prepare pupils for assessments and gather evidence. This booklet supports Christianity, Islam, Theme A Relationships; Theme B Life; Theme D War and Peace; Theme E Crime and Punishment.
There are many ways to answer questions and this booklet has used the AQA Assessment material, mark schemes, Exam model answer booklets for 2018 and Examiners Reports to help put these responses together.
The Booklet can be used to stretch all abilities.
The booklet can be used in a range of ways.
These answers can be used in existing programmes of study, online/remote learning and in any preparation activities for pupils at KS4.
Pupils can use this booklet to practice exam style questions and revise key topics required by the specification.
There are many learning activities that can be generated from the booklet using school’s existing programmes of study.
Spread over 4 Lessons but delivered over 6-8 lessons. Lesson plans that cover the Religion and Prejudice Unit of work and cover all requirements of the Syllabus for this topic. Colleagues can change and amend as they see fit. This will be the last year for this SPEC under AQA. Hope it helps.
