I am an outstanding SLE for computing who leads Computing in a primary school as well as planning and teaching all computing lessons within the school. I have developed many resources for meeting the requirements of the 2014 Primary Computing Curriculum and am now selling these within a TES shop to share them.

Flip chart planning complete with all resources based around internet and app use. Contains NINE lessons originally planned for a Y6 class who were using a lot of social media aiming to prepare them for a safe and responsible digital life - but could easily be used with Y5-7. Lessons include: exploring issues of self image and online identity in the age of the selfie; thinking about online representation and digital footprints; sharing personal information and deciding what to post online; making positive contributions to social networks and online communities; privacy settings and setting app restrictions; cyberbullying; game and app age restrictions and screen time as well as evaluating when health websites are reliable sources and when they are just trying to sell something. All tasks come with extension/ challenge activities and lessons can easily be opened up and taught. A range of tasks included to appeal to different learning styles. Up to date with 2018 apps and technology.

Activ flipchart containing 5-6 lessons (and resources needed) in which pupils help a scientist by finding out what minibeasts are in their playground and presenting the information about what they find. Unit includes taking and editing digital photographs, using Google Earth/maps to show where the photos of minibeasts were taken, presenting the data of what they found as a bar chart and pictogram and using a computer to sort and classify the minibeasts discovered. Originally planned for a very able Year 2 but could easily be used with lower KS2.

Activ flipchart (plus all resources) containing 5-6 lessons in which pupils are introduced to Excel spreadsheets. Originally planned for Y4 but suitable for KS2. Lessons include an introduction to spreadsheets, generating graphs and charts from spreadsheets, using simple formula, using autoSUM to calculate totals, using spreadsheets to answer questions and creating and using own spreadsheets.

Activ flipchart (plus resources) including 6 lessons in which pupils create their own e-book (re-telling the story of 'The Wheels on the bus') using 2Simple 2 Create a Story software. Originally planned for Y1 but suitable for KS1. Please also see my other resource 'KS1 computing planning Y1 - creating a talking book' as we went on the next 1/2 term to add sounds to this to develop it further into a talking book with narration and sound effects.

Activ flipchart (plus resources and step by step help sheets for pupils to follow) containing 6-7 lessons in which pupils draw shapes and create repeating shape patterns using Scratch. Originally planned for Y3/4 but suitable for KS2. Lessons include using the pen tool to draw simple shapes, using repeat bocks to draw shapes more efficiently, creating code to create multiple shapes, using nested loops to create shape patterns and using sliding variables.

Activ flipchart (plus resources and step by step help sheets for pupils to work through) containing 5-6 lessons in which pupils use sequence, selection and repetition to create a robot/toy character in Scratch which interacts with them, asking questions and responding to their answers. Originally planned for Y4 but suitable for KS2. Lessons include: thinking about input and output as the toy asks questions for user to answer, using selection and if/else blocks to choose a suitable way for the toy to respond, switching stage backgrounds and costumes based on answers given etc.

Lessons include: looking at the school network and developing understanding of school server, understanding the difference between the internet and the web, explaining how the internet works, trace route and pinging and digital security across the internet. Activ flipchart containing 5 computing lessons (originally planned for Y1 but suitable for Y2 also) focussing on algorithms - both writing and debugging. Lessons require the app 'Lightbot Jr'. The unit of lessons include an introduction to algorithms before using the app, using basic algorithms, including the jump command in algorithms, using 'if' in algorithms and starting to use procedures.
