This is a PowerPoint presentation I made to teach the past participle. It includes the past participle (past perfect, present perfect), using the past participle as an adjective, as well as revision on the simple past (regular and irregular), types of adjectives (OSASCOMP), simple, compound and complex sentence practice. There are teaching slides and student tasks included. I hope it is helpful!

This is a back to school/New school year activity to promote talk and collaboration. The aim is that students go around and talk to other members of the class in order to find someone to fit each category. There are 2 differentiated versions - both editable.

Children locate right angles within the classroom. They record their findings in the table and then use their knowledge to visualize whether certain objects have right angles. Used in Year 2/3.

A variety of games, activities and resources for teaching basic Spanish. When I made these, one of the topics was teeth but these can be easily adapted to suit any topic. I made these resources for Year 3 but could be used from Year 1 up.

A notebook for use in teeth and eating unit.

A worksheet consisting of a range of multiplication sums which require different mental strategies in order to solve. Strategies include inverse, multiplying by 10, partitioning and compensation. A resource that was used for higher ability independent math work in Year 3. Could be used for focused group teaching or lower abilities in Years 4 and up. This could also be given as pre or post unit assessments.

This worksheet supports rounding for Year 3/4. There are a variety of questions including using a numberline, which get progressively more challenging. There are 2 pages to the resource, the 2nd displayed is actually the first sheet. The resource can be used for pre/post unit assessment, independent work or teacher led group work. This would also work well as homework.

This resource was used as a cross curricular activity during a 'You are what you eat' topic. The children were given pictures of different animals each with it's own price tag (to be added by CT depending on group). Children had to create a display window for their pet shop by adding the prices and subtracting from their given budget, in order to find the change. Children then stuck down their animal pictures on the shopfront display. Resource includes an extension sheet, shop display sheets and animal pictures. I used this with Year 3 but could be used across the primary age, as budgets and prices can be adapted.

2 differentiated informal letters for the children to cut out, sort and stick into the correct format. Great revision or initial assessment of understanding.

I devised these worksheets for repetitive use over a week. The children would repeat one sheet daily for a week to help them improve their mental addition and subtraction agility.

A variety of resources to support cross curricular teaching around the PLANTS topic.

This is a pack I created to support the balance and motion unit. The children went on a trip to a park so that they could use a slide, swing and see-saw to investigate forces. There are also additional activities included such as designing a front cover and a word search. This could easily be used in school provided the equipment was available and although I used this with Grade 1 (who were an extremely able class) this could be used up to Year 4. A great resource!!

Plans for ELA, MATH, SOCIAL STUDIES, ICT AND SCIENCE. Topic was dragons however math and reading covered the Common core standards without being taught cross-curricularly. A whole unit of plans for a quarter!

A ppt game designed to be used while teaching place value with base 10 blocks. The children use a selection of 1's, 10's and 100's as well as a whiteboard and pen, to either show the number that is being represented in blocks, or use the blocks to make a given number. This is a great activity for quick teacher assessment and can be used at the start of a unit to help with grouping or at any point to assess learning so far. I used this resource with a clever little Grade 1 class, but it is easily used from year 1-6 as the numbers/blocks can be adapted to suit.

An interactive resource used to support the teaching of time in Year 3.

Quarter 2 plans used in grade 3 - 7 weeks worth! Topic theme was dragons. Common Core standards covered in ELA and math. California state standards for science and the AERO standards for social studies. Lots of creative activities! Enjoy!!

A range of resources for use in The Roams topic. These were used in year 3 however are adaptable as differentiated.

A simple resource I created for ESL children. Children need to cut and paste the solution to the problem. All in picture format. Children can then talk through the pictures. I made this because all examples I found were in written format and beyond the level of my children.

This is a pack I made for a split grade 3/4 class. It is made up of different literacy activities for them to complete based on an Ancient Greece topic. The additional reading was done via Kids A-Z although other versions can easily be used in place. The activities require the children to read and research themes such as pottery and the Olympics, but there is also grammar, poetry and art included. I have included a page for teachers with all of the video links and instructions for the week.
