The worksheet asks pupils to find out which foods contain the different nutrient groups and what they are used for in the human body. The investigation is based around a medical company needing to find out what nutrients a range of foods contain so that they can advise some patients on which foods are safe for them to eat. Pupils will need to use the food tests that they learn about during this topic to complete this investigation (Note: you will need to fill in the food that you want to use on the letter). This is a lesson package for teaching your pupils about the Jewish place of worship. The presentation contains pictures of different synagogues from around the world and looks at the key items that will be found in every synagogue. The plenary will ask pupils to look for these items in a photograph of a synagogue. The worksheet will ask pupils to design their own synagogue scene and then use the labels on the sheet to highlight the different objects in the picture. This a PowerPoint based lesson with integrated activity based on ancient civilisations. This was ceated to introduce pupils to a week long activities week on this theme. It introduces pupils to some the bigger civilisations and looks at some of their achievements inclusing the 7 ancient wonders of the world. The activities are based around a set of Top Trump cards that would also be suitable as a generic History lesson starter.

This is a set of three worksheets on the topic of dissolving. The first sheet gives three basic experiments that pupils can do to prove the three fundamental things about dissolving ~ conservation of mass, how to speed up dissolving and saturation of solutions. The keytwrms sheet is a simple diagram that uses the words solute, solvent and solution. How dissolving happens is a story board for pupils to illustrate the dissolving process at particle level. Pupils also should rewrite the sentences using keyterms.

This is a worksheet that gives pupils a series of chemical compound formulae and asks pupils to work out the number of atoms, the number of elements and the names of elements in each of the formula given. There is an answer sheet provided. The second worksheet is designed to illustrate the change in atomic arrangement during a chemical reaction (please note that the atoms are not correctly arranged on this sheet as it is designed to reinforce the basic number of atoms in a formulae). The second sheet will introduce pupils to the idea of word equations and chemical reactions.

This is a PowerPoint and differentiated worsheet task about reading a line graph. It is set in the context of the bid history for an item on e-bay. This was part of a set of lessons designed to be more relevant to pupils whilst developing basic skills. This an assembly on the Hindu festival of Diwali. It covers the basics of what the festival is about, how it is celebrated and the story to explain the lighting of Diva lamps. There are notes on the bottom of some slides to help with the delivery of the assembly and links to you tube music and clips that are useful to include.
