Unseen Poetry - How to Analyse a Poem in 10 Steps!

two sheets per A4 page Gives students simple, step by step instructions on how to analyse a poem, along with hints and tips. I have used these sheets in several ways: As a differentiated resource for SEN students Stuck in to the front/back of their exercise books for reference As a revision document As part classroom activities One of the most successful ways that I have used this resource is by splitting my class into groups and giving each group an unseen poem on an A3 piece of paper. I then stick this sheet to the desk and ask them to use this in order to analyse the poem. When needed, I also allocate each student certain numbers from the list that are their responsibility. This allows for quick and easy differentiation and minimizes the risk of ‘stragglers’.
