Teacher of Physics and Physical Education. My resources are attractive and well designed, often with a focus on collaborative and independent learning.
This resource was used as part of a lesson focused on independent learning in which students worked in their relay teams to identify the relevant teaching points.
Lesson overview:
1. Students performed relay
2. Give students a resource card and a set out area to read and answer the questions. Once students have identified the relevant teaching points and have had time to practice give them the next card. Repeat until all three cards are complete - Question students on the card before giving them the next one
3. Students perform relay
4. WWW, EBI group discussions - Students perform final relay
Revision sheet covering Paper 1 - Chapters 1 to 7 AQA GCSE Physics 9-1.
P1 - Conversation and dissipation of energy
P2 - Energy transfer by heating
P3 - Energy resources
P4 - Electric circuits
P5 - Electricity in the home
P6 - Molecules and matter
P7 - Radioactivity
Sheet includes questions covering mainly the combined specification but much of which is included in the triple spec. Students can use a QR-Code reader to access links at the top of the sheet to provide them with additional support.
Differentiated circuit training resource cards. Contains 10 exercises of which include a description, image, difficulty variations and key muscles involved.
Used as part of a health related fitness lessons focusing on circuit training and identifying muscles.
New 9-1 spec! A template for students to fill in to help them achieve high marks for their PEP. Also includes teacher instructions so you can guide students effectively.
This resource includes two files:
-Student PEP template
-PEP template help sheet
New specification Edexcel 9-1. GCSE Physical Education.
Revision sheet covering Chapters P5 Electricity in the home and P6 Molecules and matter for AQA GCSE Physics 9-1.
Sheet includes questions covering mainly the combined specification but much of which is included in the triple spec. Students can use a QR-Code reader to access links at the top of the sheet to provide them with additional support.
Handball resource cards used as a introductory lesson to handball.
Put students into teams of 7 and nominate the students from 1-7 within the group. All the number 1s go to resource card 1 and so forth. Students are given a period of time to learn the card and then return to their groups to explain the rule that has been learnt.
3.1 Relationship between health and fitness and the relationship exercise plays in both.
This resource is a well designed presentation informing students of what health, exercise, fitness and performance is and the relationship between them.
It includes aspects of independent learning and activities.
A fun activity for new class to get to know each other. Ideal for students transitioning from primary to secondary school.
Students must write different students names down in the box that match the criteria. Students are only allowed to use a students name once which promotes students to talk to other students.
Path finder allows students to be independent when orienteering and use their knowledge of orienteering and planning routes to find the quickest routes.
Place your co-ordinates for your course within the course randomly. Students in their groups must get from one side of the grid to the other.
The resource contains instructions and a template.
Components of fitness resource cards - used as part of a collaborative learning lesson is which students in their groups read the resource card and complete the worksheet.
Based on 9-1 Edexcel.
A seating plan creator that uses student data to colour co-ordinate students, making it easily visible to see what grade students are working at or who is working below, on or above their target grade.
This resource contains two seating plan creators.
1. Uses both students target grades and working at grades, colour co-ordinating students based on whether they are working at, below or above their target,
2. Uses a single grade (predicted or working at grade) to colour co-ordinate students in relation to grade 4.
Data can be pasted into the relevant columns where the student information cells are automatically coloured in relation to their grade. The cells can then be moved to the appropriate location to create the seating plan for the classroom.
Grade columns can be filtered to display students in a specific order.
Detailed instructions displayed within the document.
This resource contains 7 tests for for the components of fitness.
Can be used within a lesson in which students are given a period of time per resource card to find out information and experience each test.
9-1 Edexcel spec.
1. Components of fitness information resource cards
2. Components of fitness tests
Used as part of a practical collaborative learning lessons in which each resource card represents a station. Students read resource card and complete worksheet. Students also have the opportunity to experience the tests to increase their understanding.
9-1 Edexcel spec.
This resource consists of a worksheet that could be set in class or as homework for students. Students must use the information in the images to calculate the questions.
Questions are differentiated and there are different versions of the work sheet containing the equations for lower ability students.
Kinetic Energy, Elastic Potential Energy, Gravitational Potential Energy and Power are all covered within the questions.
Total of 30 marks.
AQA 9-1 Physics new spec.
Heart rate graphs for students to fill in as part of a lesson focused upon heart rates. Students record their heart rates on the sheet and use the graph to plot a line representing their heart rate. Sheet consists of three graphs that can be cut out.
Athletics scoreboard allows you to track students times and distances for both field and track events creating a points scoreboard based on their times or distance.
Simply insert students names and upon completing an event, enter the students result. This will automatically equate to points, adding up all students results over all the events they do. Bonus points can also be given to students which will contribute to their score.
Points can be filtered to clearly see who has the most points creating a great competition within your class.
