Starts with differentiated structure strips to help students through the reacting masses calculation using moles (GCSE Chemistry - Higher Tier) Orange strip - slightly more hints/support Blue strip - basic guidance through the calculation Then has examples for students try without the structure strip. This project was designed as part of a Y9 SOW. The idea is that the project should take 4 - 6 lessons and will ensure that students recall and understand the basics needed to access GCSE. This is part of a series of 10 projects (all of which can be found in my shop) to cover all KS3 content before beginning GCSE.

Revision worksheet using a range of retrieval practice and thinking hard strategies (includes colour code/categorise, true or false, label the diagrams and odd one out). Useful revision summary that really requires pupils to think about what they have learnt rather than just repeat. Can also use the keyword quota activity to then assess pupils’ scientific literacy on the topic.
