The sheet is in parts of difficulty so students can progress whilst they build confidence also the teacher may want to give the final part for homework.

Pupils work through the sheet which can also been given for homework. Is differetiated enough so can be split up.

Pupils can define the meaning of a word. There is room for ironing out misconceptions of meaning of words. I have enrlaged these sheets and allowed pupils to work in groups or pairs and then present the finding to the rest of the group.

This sheet allows pupils to build confidence with simple percentages but enables the pupils who have the confidence to move onto finding 1% of any whole amount. The pupils are taught to set out their findings in a table so the work is neatly presented and patterns can then be found in the methods. The sheet is a tool which can also be used as homework or peer work in the classroom. Pupils can spot errors quickly in the table form and is designed to be used with weaker pupils who will feel a sense of achievement when completing the sheet.
