In the absence of National Curriculum levels and with the new 9-1 grades now running, I created a new system that gives students a numerical level in line with the new grades and grade expectations from Ofqual and the new examining specifications. This system has a marking grid (much like the APP grids) which can be used to mark all student's work. The spreadsheet that accompanies this shows the new levels, the new 9-1 grades and their comparison to all old National Curriculum Levels, other qualifications such as ELC and Functional Skills and point scores.
