This was designed as a 100 minute year 7 lesson to explore the impacts of food on climate change. The lesson can be adapted for various foods or even for any items that may contribute to carbon emissions,For the main activity each group of pupils was given a different type of food and asked to discuss how they thought the food may have contributed to carbon emissions (growth, harvest transport etc). - (The pupils groupwok ideas were more creative when I gave them blank sheets of paper instead).
